Caryn is a self-proclaimed “girly girl” and “non-athlete” who discovered “running” in her 40s after being inactive for many years. Exercise became necessary to change cholesterol ratios and lower blood pressure. After signing up and training to walk her first race, she discovered running by accident. After a particularly stressful day, all the pent up stress and emotion was released by increasing the treadmill speed one notch at a time and running 30 seconds longer each time before taking a walking break. After walking her first half marathon in 2012, she decided to take on new challenges and test her limits and focus on something she could potentially control, all while improving her health.
Caryn has a Masters Degree in Business and Marketing and works in the Financial Services Industry as a Product Marketing Manager.
